Bureau Veritas has confirmed that HUB logistics quality and environmental systems fulfills the specifications of quality standard ISO 90001:2008 and environmental standard ISO 14001:2004.

HUB has certified the quality and environmental system during 2010-2011. The goal has been to distribute the information of HUB logistics goals and values both internally and externally. We have also published our concrete goals from Quality and in Environmental perspectives.

In our Quality system we have documented all our processes, the related instructions and the metrics to follow the output. All the metrics are followed in our board of directors monthly, to ensure the continuous development and high quality standards.

We also offer our internal Quality and environmental competence to our Customers, by doing waste management and optimizing logistics from the environmental perspective. By doing so we are minimizing the environmental effect of the whole value chain, instead of just focusing to the portion of the value chain, where we operate daily.

HUB logistics in continuing to expand to European markets. A new subsidiary HUB logistics GmbH has been founded in Dusseldorf, the new site will be operational in March and will serve Finnish export companies aswell as local customers.

HUB logistics has implemented the first wind turbine to Kerava logistics center. Generator produces electricity which is used in HUB logistics manufacturing, like wood and plywood packaging for export. HUB logistics is the first logistics company in Finland to implement wind turbine.

The wind turbine is a Mypower-turbine, made in Finland and has a nominal output of 2 Kwh. The turbine has been directly connected to the public grid, so the excess electricity is then used by someone else in the network.
